CCR #3
In this blog I will be answering and brain storming the following question for my CCR #3
- How did your production skills develop throughout this project?
I think my production skills developed significaly through this project in several parts. First I improved my skills in film production by making sure the lightning of where I was filming had the perfect amount of light and darkness. I also had to experiment with many angles and shots for the shooting of this film. The filming scenes in the forest came with many challenges like the audio and areas to film which I had much difficulty doing.
My production skills have also developed through this project by having to create a compelling opening with suspense and tension to engage and entertain the audience since my genre was horror. I planned to have the girl see the sign repeatedly in the beginning to already start building the tension from the start and for it to slowly grow throughout the film by having the suspense expand by the time she's in the forest. By doing this it intrigues the audience and keeps them attach to see what will happen next and what wont.
Lastly, time management grew efficiently during the making of this film since I had to work with a crew member (my mom) in that environment which was very difficult since she was recording me as were both getting bit by insects. I learned how to work with that environment and use my time efficiently so my projects stays on track. Overall, I learned a lot from this project and it really enhanced my production skills which have made an impact for the long term.
This is me and the environment we were in for most of the time (regional park)
